who am i?
I am a queer black girl from Middletown, New York. I completed high school in Detroit, Michigan and the two worlds lived in my short 17 years influence my desire to capture the rawness of the coming of age for other black teenagers and young creatives. I am and always was a kid who enjoys the challenge of the amount of ideas I had and the requirements of my engineer capabilities used to fulfill these ideas Around my sophomore year of high school I found myself in a community of people like me at spots like the Trumbullplex and Paramita Sound and soon I transferred to Detroit School of Arts. I began living to create; and my environment nurtured this motivation. When I call myself an artist, I mean in every sense of the word. I explore the freedom of creating in any way I can get my hands on. That includes, and of course is not limited to: film, photography, graphic design, illustration, 3D and 2D animation, and music production. Seriously anything I can get my hands on. This portfolio is a collection of works from the beginning of sophomore year to my senior year of high school.
